A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Janet
Therapy can be an inherently vulnerable process, and I deeply honor and respect the courage it requires to enter a counselor’s office and place trust in them with your most intimate thoughts and fears. Counseling is a profound passion of mine, grounded in the belief that while relationships can be a source of significant hurt, they also possess the potential for healing through reparative connection. I firmly believe that you possess an innate capacity for healing, and one of my foremost priorities is to establish a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where you feel empowered to express yourself openly and without hesitation.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on Crisis and Trauma from Walden University in 2020. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to counsel internationally in Bahrain and work in outpatient settings across California and Oregon. I have experience supporting adults, teens, couples, and families, and I use play therapy with children. I’m passionate about helping adults through life transitions that foster personal growth and identity development. I also bring specialized training in Religious Trauma, Spiritual Abuse, and Purity Culture to my work.
“To all our younger selves,
who needed to know then but can finally learn now: you can listen to your body,
you can trust yourself,
and you are good at your core.”
